Although you can't see your shoulder blades without a mirror, they can still cause you annoyance, especially if they stick out too much, or they show a blemish or a tattoo that you'd like to keep hidden. Luckily, however, you can hide your shoulder blades by wearing the right clothing and using the right exercises that tighten and smooth out pointy shoulder blades.
Wear shirts that are one size larger than you would normally wear. The extra space in the shirt will hide your shoulder blades even when you are moving your shoulders around.
Wear a bra that is specifically made to smooth out the back and shoulder blades. When you're wearing the bra, your shoulder blades will be hidden and you can even wear tighter-fitting tops that would otherwise accentuate your shoulders.
Avoid wearing shirts that are translucent or are designed with light colors. These shirts make it easier for others to see your shoulder blades.
Perform exercises that target the upper back and shoulder blades. These exercises will tone your shoulder blade muscles and make the shoulder blades stick out less. Some exercises that target the shoulder blade areas are seated rows, lat pulldowns, lat raises and scapular pushups.
