How to Recall a Message on Entourage

With the increase of Internet use and availability, email has become an important means of communication. Digital communication such as this allows records to be kept and removes all question of whether you informed someone of a concern or not. Most inboxes today have a large number of emails that can be difficult to sort through to find a specific message. Microsoft Entourage allows you to search your email by name or keyword to quickly find the message you are looking for.

  • Open Entourage. Click "Go," "Applications," then click the arrow to the left of "Microsoft Office." Double-click "Microsoft Entourage."

  • Click the folder you want to search in the left panel. "Inbox" or "All Mail" should be selected if you do not save emails to separate folders.

  • Click inside the search bar at the top right of the window. Type a name or part of the title or message and results will appear in the main window. You do not need to press enter. If the message you want does not appear, continue to Step 4.

  • Click "Edit," then "Find on IMAP Server" if available. This option searches through messages on the email provider's server for messages not downloaded to your computer. More information and tips can be found in the Resources section.
