Make your own cheap and easy squeegee to clean your paintgun barrel on and off the field.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Gather together an old T-shirt, some strong string, and a small nut.

  2. Step 2

Cut a square section of cloth from an old cotton T-shirt, about 5 inches by 5 inches.

  3. Step 3

Pinch the center of the cloth and put a small hole through it.

  4. Step 4

Tie your string at one end through the hole in the center of the cloth.

  5. Step 5

Tie the other end of the string around the nut.

  6. Step 6

Disengage the barrel of your paintgun so that you can look all the way through it.

  7. Step 7

Drop the nut down through the barrel of your paintgun so that it comes out the other end.

  8. Step 8

Pull the string to draw the cloth clear through the barrel, cleaning all the paint out and polishing the barrel.

  9. Step 9

Keep the squeegee in your pocket when you play.

Tips & Warnings
  • Any small heavy object that can easily be tied to the string will work in the place of the nut. Try to find something that won't scratch your barrel as it passes through.
  • Kite string is a good type of string to use. Strong fishing line also works. Don't use cheap string such as dental floss.
  • There are also a number of really good and inexpensive squeegees for sale in paintball stores.
  • Always wear eye protection around paintball guns.

on 11/22/2005 Be very careful with the nut on that squeegee. If you aren't careful, the nut may scratch up the inside of the barrel causing a decrease in accuracy and risking more ball breaks in the barrel.
