How to Draw an Alien Face
Stories and visual depictions of aliens have been tossed about the media for quite some time now, often appearing in science fiction films and comics. Catapulted by the infamous UFO sighting in Roswell, N.M., in 1947, many people are still fascinated with the concept of alien life. Whether or not you've got an alien story to tell, it's easy and fun to draw that iconic alien face.

1
Trace the outline of the alien face with your graphite pencil. It is similar to an elongated egg shape, with the chin very narrow. The widest part of the face is right in the center of this shape.
-
2
Aliens can be scary or playful, like this child's toy. Give the face some weight by adding the signature eyes. They are almond-shaped and point downward. Start drawing the outer edge of the eyes at the widest part of the face, and swoop down toward the center. The eyes are set very close together at the center and should be extremely large.

-
3
Draw the nose as two small circles, immediately beneath the center of the giant eyes. There is no dimension to this part of the face, so the circles are essentially nostrils.
-
4
Mark the mouth in a similar way, by drawing a straight slit directly beneath the nose. It is at the narrowest part of the face, as close to the chin as you can get. To add depth, you can give the mouth two horizontal lines, creating lips.
-
5
Finish your alien face by accenting the eyes. Draw a set of horizontal lines close together, in the center of the eyes. Next, fill the space above and below with your pencil, pressing firmly, and your face is complete.
