How to Design Your Own Key Chain
Key chains are some of the most collected items, and souvenir shops often do a brisk trade with them. Making a key chain yourself does not take much time, and can be very rewarding. You can make a key chain to match any outfit or mood, or make them as gifts. The project here will take less than an hour to complete with supplies that can be found at most local craft or hobby stores.

1
Cut a length of cord to be used for the key chain. This can be any length you wish. Usually, 6 to 8 inches works well.
-
2
Fold the cord in half. Lay the key ring on top of the cord so that the bend is in the center of the key ring. Bring the tails of the cord up and through the loop so they go around the key ring. Pull tight.

Thread a few beads onto one of the cord ends. Make a tight overhand knot to keep the beads on the cord. Repeat for the other cord. The key ring is now ready to use.

Tips & Warnings
Use ribbon, jute, or other cords to string the beads on.
Charms can also be added in addition to beads.
Do the steps with more than one section of cord for a fuller effect.
