How to Get a Pikachu on "Pokemon Diamond"
Pikachu, the mascot of the "Pokemon" series, traditionally appears early in games as a common Pokemon. However, in "Pokemon Diamond" for the Nintendo DS, Pikachu is a rarer find. You can capture Pikachu in the usual way, by weakening it and throwing a Poke Ball at it, but you first must know its location.
Instructions

-
1
Go to Route 212, the route between Hearthome City and Pastoria City.
-
2
Enter the Pokemon Mansion. The mansion is located at the "elbow" of Route 212.
-
-
3
Keep going north after you enter the Pokemon Mansion until you reach the door leading to the Trophy Garden. The Trophy Garden is a grassy area north of the mansion. This is the only area in "Pokemon Diamond" where you can find Pikachu.
-
4
Run around in the grass until you encounter a Pokemon. The Pokemon you face may not be Pikachu. In that case, run away and try again until you encounter Pikachu.
-
5
Attack Pikachu with your Pokemon until Pikachu's health is less than one-fourth of its original health. Do not use too strong of a Pokemon or you will risk dealing too much damage to Pikachu and killing it.
-
6
Throw a Poke Ball at Pikachu when it is in its weakened state. Pikachu will now be in your collection of Pokemon and can be used in battle.
