How to Glue Glass on Top of Glass
Gluing glass on top of glass allows you to closely layer panes of glass. The process is usually used for art projects that require adhering colored panes of glass to one another. In order to ensure the glass panes will fully adhere to each other, it is necessary to use an epoxy or glue specifically designed to bond glass surfaces together, such as the glass glue made by Loctite.

1
Clean the glass thoroughly with soap and water. Dry with a lint-free towel or paper towel. Use an air duster to clean off any remaining lint remnants. Dust, lint or any other particulates left on the glass surface will interfere with glass's ability to adhere. Lay a piece of newspaper down on a counter top or table and carefully lay the glass on top of the newspaper.

2
Line up the glass panes on top of one another in what will be their final position. Remove the top pane of glass. Spread a thin layer of the adhesive on the top of the bottom glass pane.

3
Carefully position the top pane over the bottom. Slowly lower the pane, making contact with an edge and then lowering the rest of it onto the bottom pane.

4
Press the layers together and hold tightly for 60 seconds to allow the glue to set. Let the glass sit undisturbed overnight to allow the bond to fully strengthen.
