Consult with your health care practioner before taking IPG and inositol.

Inositol hexaphosphate, commonly referred to as IP6, is a component of the dietary fiber found in a wide range of plant foods, including whole grains and legumes. Alternative health practitioners report that IP6 supplementation may help prevent kidney stone formation, lessen the complications of diabetes and lower cholesterol levels. Some practitioners also believe that IP6 may have cancer fighting properties. IP6 is often taken with an additional dose of simple inositol, as it appears the two supplements have a higher benefit when taken together.

Instructions

    • 1

Consult with your doctor to confirm that taking IP6 with inositol will not present a health risk based on your current medical status.

    • 2

Take the IP6 and inositol on an empty stomach for maximum benefit.

    • 3

Take the amounts recommended by your health care professional. Between 800 mg and 1,200 mg of IP6, and 200 to 300 mg of inositol daily is a standard dosage.

    • 4

If you have a high risk of cancer, you may choose to take a higher dose. Your health care professional may recommend 4,800 to 7,200 mg of IP6 daily and 1,200 to 1,800 mg of inositol daily if you have a high risk of cancer.

Tips & Warnings

  • Store the IP6 and inositol in a cool, dry place.
