How to Override Google Sync in Snow Leopard
When Apple released Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, it included the native ability to sync your contacts and calendars with your Google or Yahoo accounts. Since Google adds every email address you correspond with to your list of contacts, syncing your Google Contacts with Snow Leopard can turn your Address Book into an unruly mess. Disabling this syncing mechanism is easy within the applications' preferences.
