1
Draw a large oval in the center of a piece of paper. On top of the oval draw two small circles next to each other that cover the width of the oval. Draw each beginning step with a faint pencil line so you can erase and correct mistakes easily.
-
2
Draw a line that follows around the outside of the two circles and the oval to connect the shapes together in one continuous line. Draw a large circle that is bigger than the oval and smaller circles around the shape you have. This will be your face outline.

-
3
Draw two small circles on each side of the face shaped like small balls. These are the ears of the monkey.
-
4
Draw a small oval shape inside of the original oval toward the middle to draw the monkey's nose. Inside the oval draw two small dots to create the nostrils. Above the nose draw two short vertical lines and then thicken them to create the eyes.
-
5
Draw a mouth underneath the nose close to the bottom of the oval. Depending on what character you want to create, start with a cheeky smile. Draw a short upward curve or try a small circle to create a surprised expression.
-
6
Color in your monkey. Use vibrant colors and add small textured details depicting hair to the drawing.
