How to Upload Faster to Hotfile

Hotfile is a well-known file hosting site designed for users to upload, download and share their files with Internet surfers around the world. Hotfile is usually quite convenient when it comes to file uploading, because it is typically free to use. But users tend to have issues with the uploading and processing speed. The freeware version of Hotfile operates on a slower server than the premium version, and does not include high-speed and parallel downloading capability or support for download acceleration. Therefore, uploading is a lot slower. Fortunately, Hotfile does offer ways to speed up the uploading and downloading process. Creating a premium account is the most effective way to upload faster to Hotfile.

Instructions

Creating a Premium Account for Faster Uploading

1. Navigate to the Hotfile website (see Resources.)

2. Click the "Premium" tab at the top of the Hotfile homepage.

3. Select the Hotfile subscription of your choice. Then, double-click the payment method you desire for the subscription you want.

4. Click "PayPal Subscription" to pay using your PayPal account. The site will redirect you to the PayPal login page. The payment will be extracted from your PayPal account automatically once you log in. (If you want to pay with a credit card, skip this step, and proceed to step 4.)

5. Click "Credit Card Subscription" to use one of your physical credit cards. Hotfile will redirect to SegPay, which is the third-party payment processing platform for the site.

6. Click the drop-down bar under "Options" when the SegPay payment processing page appears.

7. Confirm the Hotfile subscription you desire. The price of the subscription should appear below the "Grand Total" area of the page.

8. Type your personal contact and credit card information in the corresponding text fields. Then, click "Secure Purchase" to process the payment. Once the payment is complete, the site will redirect back to Hotfile with a generated confirmation number, Hotfile username and password for your remium account.

Uploading with the Hotfile Premium Account

1. Go back to the Hotfile homepage.

2. Click "Login / Sign-Up" on the Hotfile homepage.

3. Enter the Hotfile username and password provided after the purchase. Then, click "Login" to access the premium account.

4. Click "Browse" on your Hotfile account main screen. Locate the file you'd like to upload from the computer's hard drive and click "Open."

5. Click "Upload" to begin transferring the file from your hard drive to the Hotfile hosting database. The uploading time should be a lot faster, as the file uploads through the Hotfile premium server.

Tips & Warnings

• Write down the purchase confirmation number, Hotfile username and password for the account as soon as it appears. Do not refresh the page or navigate away from it in the browser.

• Hotfile premium account subscription charges range from $9 to $55, depending on the subscription you choose.
