How to Return Apps on an iPad


Applications are created every day for the iPad and other Apple mobile devices. Some are for fun, some for business and others to simplify your day-to-day tasks. Occasionally, you may find the app you purchased doesn't perform as you expected or you downloaded an app not compatible with the iPad. You can return your app purchase through iTunes and request a refund. The request is sent to an iTunes representative who reviews it and responds within 24 to 48 hours.

  • Open iTunes.

  • Locate and click or tap on your username at the top-right part of the screen. Enter your password if prompted.

  • Select "Purchase History" from your account page and select "Report a Problem" at the bottom-right part of the purchase history page.

  • Click on the app you want to return and select the "Report a Problem" link located to the right of the app.

  • Choose the reason you want to return the app from the drop-down menu on the next page. You can also leave a comment in the text field provided.

  • Select "Next."
