How to Hard Start Your Apple iPhone 4

The iPhone 4 is Apple's fourth-generation smartphone device. Normally, if your iPhone stops functioning properly, you can perform a soft reset by powering the phone off and back on. However, at times, this will not restore full functionality to your iPhone. When this happens, you will need to perform a hard reset of your iPhone device. This hard reset will, in most cases, restore full functionality to your iPhone.

  • Press and hold the "Home" button located at the bottom of your iPhone's display.

  • Press and hold the "Power" button located at the top of your iPhone. Continue to press and hold the "Home" button while pressing the "Power" button.

  • Wait until you see the Apple logo on your iPhone's display. You will see the Apple logo in approximately 10 seconds. Once you see the Apple logo, release both the "Power" and "Home" buttons. You have now completed the hard reset process.
