How to Convert Excel to JPEG for Free

The program Microsoft Excel is a native piece of software that allows you to create spreadsheets. If you want to convert a particular spreadsheet into a JPEG image you can do so using native software in Windows. The program Microsoft Paint as well as the "Print Screen" option allows you to convert to the JPEG image format quickly, for free, and without downloading any additional software or navigating to any sites online.

  • Double-click on your Excel document file to open it automatically in Microsoft Excel.

  • Press the "Print Screen" key on your keyboard, next to F12, to do a screen capture of the Excel spreadsheet that you see on your monitor.

  • Click "Start" on the desktop, then select "All programs," "Accessories" then "Paint."

  • Click "Edit" in the Paint menu bar and select "Paste." The Excel screenshot appears.

  • Click "File," then "Save as." Click on the "Save as type," dropdown menu and select "JPEG." Enter a name for your file in the "File name" textbox and click "Save" to save the Excel file as JPEG.
