Connect your MacBook to your TV to free your digital videos, photos and Websites from the confines of your laptop's smaller screen. Use the mini display port on the side of your laptop and a VGA cable to hook up external monitors to your computer's graphics card. Once the connection is established, your Mac will immediately begin sending video signals to your TV's screen. The VGA interface doesn't transfer audio, but you can still use your Mac's speakers to listen to the sound.
