Switch back to the standard Droid X Multitouch keyboard.

The Motorola Droid X features a large screen and no physical keyboard, meaning that you must use a virtual keyboard to enter text. This particular phone comes with two virtual keyboards: Motorola's Multitouch keyboard and Swype, a keyboard that allows you to "draw" a word to enter it. If you're uncomfortable using the Swype keyboard, you can return to the Multitouch keyboard with a simple adjustment of Android's settings on the home screen.

Instructions

    • 1

Press the "Power" button. Slide the unlock tab to the right to access the phone. Press the "Home" button.

    • 2

Press the "Search" button. Tap the search bar and hold your finger on the screen. Tap "Input Method."

    • 3

Tap "Multitouch Keyboard." The standard keyboard will appear in place of the Swype keyboard.
