How to Check the BIOS on a Dell
The basic input/output system, or BIOS, on your Dell computer gives you control over the hardware components on your Dell system. You use the BIOS, for example, to disable or enabled integrated hardware components. It also allows you to change boot order, which is necessary when booting from CDs. The BIOS setup is accessible during bootup, and runs outside of any operating system, which makes it accessible even when an operating system is faulty or non-existent.
