How to Remove Visability When I Am on Facebook

Use chat menu settings to remove visibility.

Facebook Chat is an instant messaging feature that allows users to send and receive messages in real-time when signed in. The Chat menu displays a list of friends currently online and available for messaging. For those times when chatting is not ideal, Facebook users have the option to appear invisible to friends. If you prefer to browse the Facebook walls undisturbe,d or you're avoiding certain friends, adjust your settings to appear invisible.

Instructions

1. Log into your Facebook account.

2. Click on the "Chat" menu that displays in the lower-right corner of any page.

3. Select "Go Offline" from the "Options" tab to hide Chat visibility from friends.

Tips & Warnings

• Your Chat availability will only be visible to your confirmed Facebook friends.
