LinkedIn keeps you in touch with professional associates.

LinkedIn is a social networking site aimed at professionals, which helps you keep in contact with business associates. If you have someone on your contact list who you then decide to remove, you can remove him or her as a connection via the LinkedIn website.

Instructions

    • 1

Log into the LinkedIn website using your LinkedIn user name and password.

    • 2

      Click the "Contacts" link.

    • 3

      Click the "Remove Connections" link.

    • 4

Find the contact you wish to remove on the list that appears. Click the check box to the left of their name.

    • 5

Click the "Remove Connections" button that appears, and then click the "Yes, Remove them" button to confirm. LinkedIn removes your chosen contact.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you wish to remove more than one contact at once, you can select multiple contacts by ticking more than one box in step 4.

  • Removing contacts will reduce the size of your LinkedIn network, as you will no longer have access to the "2nd-degree contacts" available via the removed contact.
