How to Make a Clip on Lip Ring
While piercing your ears has long been an normal practice, piercing parts of your face showcases a more alternative fashion sense. Eyebrow, nose and lip piercings are acceptable for both men and women, instantly giving the wearer a more punk, slightly tough or more dangerous look. If you're interested in piercing your lip, but are not a fan of needles or don't want to go to the extreme of piercing your own lip or want to try out how a lip ring would feel first, making a clip on lip ring is a suitable solution. Purchase sterling silver craft wire from a craft store in your desired thickness. Gauge six or eight will give you a thick, noticeable lip ring, whereas gauge 21 will give you a more understated lip ring.

Cut 1-inch wire piece with wire cutters. Rub each end of the wire with metal sandpaper so the ends are dull and won't hurt when the ring is against your skin.

Glue small magnets, only slightly larger than the diameter of your wire, to each end. Use a strong metal epoxy and just a dot of glue on each end. Dry overnight.

Curve your wire into a C-shape, and then further into a perfect O-shape, so that you can slide it onto your lower or upper lip. The magnets will keep it in place.
