Instructions

    • 1

Purchase sterling silver craft wire from a craft store in your desired thickness. Gauge six or eight will give you a thick, noticeable lip ring, whereas gauge 21 will give you a more understated lip ring.

    • 2

Cut 1-inch wire piece with wire cutters. Rub each end of the wire with metal sandpaper so the ends are dull and won't hurt when the ring is against your skin.

    • 3

Glue small magnets, only slightly larger than the diameter of your wire, to each end. Use a strong metal epoxy and just a dot of glue on each end. Dry overnight.

    • 4

Curve your wire into a C-shape, and then further into a perfect O-shape, so that you can slide it onto your lower or upper lip. The magnets will keep it in place.
