How to Find What Intel Chip I Have
When troubleshooting a computer or laptop, you may need to tell a support technician what kind of Intel chip is installed on your machine. To find out what Intel chip you have installed in your computer, check the System Properties in the Microsoft Windows operating system. Click the Windows orb and then click the "Control Panel" link. The Control Panel interface opens.

Click the "System and Security" icon in the Control Panel, and then click "System." The "System Properties" dialog box opens.

Click the "General" option in the System Properties left navigation pane. Locate the section labeled "Computer." The name, brand and type of your Intel chip is listed, along with the speed of the processor in gigahertz and the amount of RAM in megabytes or gigabytes.
