How to Fix a Dell Inspiron 1505 That Will Not Turn On

Things You'll Need

• Ammeter
• Power supply (wall socket)

Instructions

1. Remove the battery and plug your system into a wall socket, then attempt to turn it on. If this works, your battery may need replacement or recharging.

2. Use the ammeter as directed in its manual to check your laptop's adapter. Make sure to check both cables. If the adapter is at fault, replace it.

3. Reinsert the battery and leave your system plugged into the wall, powered off, for approximately 30 minutes. Attempt to turn on the system. If this fails, seek professional assistance.
