"Pokemon Yellow" is the third Pokemon game, and was released for the Nintendo Game Boy. It is an updated version of "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue" in which you start out with Pikachu. Hidden Machine (HM) moves are special moves that can be used outside of battle. Unfortunately, they cannot be deleted normally. You will need to use a GameShark and special codes to delete the HM moves of your Pokemon in "Pokemon Yellow."

Select your Pokemon from the "Pokemon" menu at the options screen and select "Moves" to see its battle moves. Take note of which position the HM move is on because this will affect the code you input. Place that Pokemon in the first position of your party.

Turn the Game Boy off and remove the "Pokemon Yellow" game cartridge.

Insert the "Pokemon Yellow" game cartridge into the GameShark. Insert the GameShark into the Game Boy and turn on the system.

Enter one of the following codes at the title screen:

012172D1 if the HM move is in slot 1 012173D1 if the HM move is in slot 2 012174D1 if the HM move is in slot 3 012175D1 if the HM move is in slot 4

Press the "Start" button to start the "Pokemon Yellow" game. Select your save file and begin the game. The HM move will be replaced with the move "Tackle," which can be erased by teaching it a new move via TM or level-up.
