The Meijer Community Rewards program began as a fundraising platform for schools and religious non-profit organizations, allowing consumers to earn credit on purchases for a designated organization. When consumers swipe their Meijer Community Rewards Card while making a purchase, the discount retailer donates a portion of the amount of money spent on eligible items to the desired organization. Contact the organization you wish to receive your credits and ensure they are enrolled in the Meijer Community Rewards program. If so, obtain the code for their organization as you will need this to complete the application.

Decide if you wish to apply for a Meijer credit card. If so, complete the application online at the store website or in person at the store's customer service desk. Anytime you use the Meijer credit card, the Rewards program will record credits.
If you do not wish to apply for a Meijer credit card, you can still obtain a Community Rewards Card. Proceed to the next step.

Apply in store at the customer service desk or online for a Meijer 1 Card. There is no credit check and this card is not a credit or debit card, but is similar to the customer loyalty discount cards offered by other retailers. Remember that you must use your Meijer 1 Card with cash or debit card purchases in order to receive Community Rewards program credit.

Go to the Meijer website to register your new Community Rewards Card and track your purchases and credits online to see how much you are contributing.
