How to Check the Status of My Child's Social Security Benefits
A child may be eligible to receive Social Security benefits due to the death, disability or retirement of one or both of her parents. The Social Security benefits a child receives may be crucial to the support of the child. After a parent or legal guardian has applied for benefits on behalf of the child, the status of the application may be easily checked either online or by calling the customer service center.
