How to Help the Homeless in Atlanta, GA
Every single day, there are more than 13,000 people in the city of Atlanta, GA that find themselves homeless, according to the Atlanta Children's Shelter. Many of these homeless are families with children. Homeless people in Atlanta can use all the help they can get and there are many ways that people can be generous and make the lives of these people brighter. Atlanta is home to a variety of organizations that are dedicated to this cause and you can help the homeless through them.

Contact the Atlanta Children's Shelter to learn about ways they are helping the homeless, and how you can get involved. Financial contributions, books, supplies and food are all welcomed at the Atlanta Children's Shelter.

Sign up to participate in, volunteer to help organize or sponsor the Atlanta Children's Shelter 5K Walk/Run. Money raised is used to help fund the shelter.

Volunteer to work in the kitchen or mail room at Crossroads of Atlanta, a nonprofit organization that assists the homeless.

Organize a group sandwich project, book bag drive or food drive to benefit Crossroads Atlanta.

Work with Hosea Feed the Hungry to help feed the homeless in Atlanta. Volunteers and donations are needed to help feed over 3,000 families every year.
