How to Convert Ounces to Tsp.
In many cooking or baking recipes you have to convert from ounces to teaspoons. For measuring purposes, teaspoons are much easier to use than ounces. They're also helpful when increasing or decreasing the serving size. There are three teaspoons in one tablespoon and two tablespoons in one ounce. Start by considering how many teaspoons make up a tablespoon. Every tablespoon contains 3 teaspoons.

Ask yourself how many tablespoons are in 1 cup. A cup has 16 tablespoons, so it has 16x3 or 48 teaspoons.

Remember that every cup has 8 ounces. Divide 48 teaspoons by 8 ounces to get the number of teaspoons in an ounce: 6.

To convert from ounces to teaspoons all you need to do is multiply the number of ounces that you have by 6. If you have a recipe that calls for 3 ounces, simply multiply 3x6, and you'll know that you need 18 teaspoons.
