How to Make an Untraceable Myspace Account

The Internet is a public space, especially social networking sites. That is unless you take the time to make your Myspace profile untraceable. With an untraceable profile, only you can add friends, unless you send them the direct link to your profile. On an untraceable profile, you do not need to worry about what you post because your boss or family will not find the page. It doesn't cost anything to make your profile untraceable, just a few extra steps to change your privacy settings.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit Myspace's homepage and click "sign up." Fill in all the required fields and verify your account. Log in with your email address and password.

    • 2

Click "My Stuff" from the top menu bar followed by "Privacy Settings."

    • 3

Set your account to be viewable only by "My Friends" by clicking the circle next to this option. Uncheck the options: "Show my profile photo and display name in content recommendations," "Online now Show people when I am online," "Birthday Show my birthday to my friends" and "Block users by age Allow users under 18 to contact me". Click "Save the Settings." This way people cannot search for you to find you.

    • 4

Click "Friend Requests" and uncheck all the boxes. This means that no one can request you as a friend or search for you. Click "Save Settings."

    • 5

Click "My Published Activities" and uncheck all the boxes. Save the settings and none of your activities will be published to other users.

Tips & Warnings

  • Link your Myspace account to an email that does not use your name to be completely untraceable.
