How to Draw Feminine Looking Lips
Drawing feminine-looking lips is important when you are an artist who wants to draw portraits of women and girls. Many females have fuller lips than males and you will want to convey this in your drawings. Full lips are generally thought of as being more "feminine." With good artistic skills, you can learn how to draw convincing, feminine-looking lips.

1
Use a pencil with an eraser (or a stick of charcoal) to draw a slightly curved horizontal line in the center of a clean sheet of paper. Curve the line slightly down so that the lips you fill in can appear slightly parted. Make this line any size you like, but keep it large enough so that you can fill in details later. Sketch the upper lip above the line with a slight "M" shape at the top middle. Attach the corners with the ends of the line, curving them slightly down.

2
Draw the lower lip below the horizontal line in the shape of a very wide "U." Make the very bottom slightly squared off, where the lower lip and chin meet. The lower lip should be only ever so slightly more full than the upper lip, no more than about one-quarter of extra depth.

Fill in details such as shadow and light. Use the very tip of your pencil to create dark shading and lighter shading by using the side of the tip of your pencil. Create a lighter area on the lower lip to represent light hitting it. Do this on one side or the other, or in the middle of the lower lip, depending on your intended effect.

Add a dark shadow just below the bottom of the lower lip. This is necessary to give the lips some depth. Create this shadow in an arc-like shape. Draw it just slightly wider than the very bottom point of the lower lip to give it a realistic look and depth.
