How to View Previous Conversations on MSN
Windows Live Messenger (MSN) is an instant messaging service, developed by Microsoft. MSN gives you the ability to have text conversations with other users when you are both online. Use your Windows Live ID to sign in to MSN. Set MSN to automatically save conversations to a history file, which you can then view from within MSN.

Open MSN messenger.

Click the MSN Tools menu and select "Options." Click "Messages" and check "Automatically keep a history of my conversations." If the Tools menu isn't visible, click the "Show menu" button in the upper-right corner, which looks like an orange box with a downward-facing white arrow.

Set where you want your previous conversations to be stored by typing in a location under "Save my conversations in this folder:" Click "Change." Also check "Show my last conversation in new conversation windows," if so desired. Click "OK."

Use MSN to have a conversation with a friend.

Click the File menu and select "View Message History." Select a contact's name and click "OK." MSN will display a history file with all the conversations you've had with the contact.
