How to Get a Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD Out of Demo Mode


The Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD is a car stereo with a built-in DVD player. The AVH-P4000DVD occupies two dash spaces to make room for its 6.1-inch touch-screen display. The system also features a built-in radio tuner, CD player, Bluetooth capabilities, fully integrated iPod controls and a built-in satellite radio tuner. When the radio is turned off or the vehicle's key is placed into the "Accessory"---or "ACC"---position, the AVH-P4000DVD demo mode is activated. The demo mode is designed to be used in stores when displaying the head unit.

  • Turn the vehicle's key to the Accessory---or ACC---position to enable demo mode. Alternatively, press the "Source" button, located on the left-side of the radio, and press the "Off" button that appears on the screen to turn off the unit.

  • Locate the "Volume/Mute" button, located on the left-side of the unit.

  • Press and hold the "Volume/Mute" button until the demo mode turns off.
