How to Get a URL on Photobucket

How to Get a URL on Photobucket thumbnail
Understand where to get a URL for your picture on Photobucket.

If you use the Photobucket picture sharing website, you have the option to link your images to other sites to display your photos directly on the page. All you need is the Uniform Resource Locator, or URL, which tells a Web browser where your picture file is located on the Internet. Photobucket provides this code each time you upload an image. Access your account and understand how to find this address so you have the ability to present your Photobucket images on the pages you want.

Instructions

    • 1

Point your browser to the Photobucket website and log in to your account.

    • 2

Click the "My albums" link at the top and then click the photo album that contains the picture you want to get a URL for.

    • 3

Hover your mouse over the desired picture to bring up a menu bar and then click the "Share" title.

    • 4

Click the "Get link code" tab that displays and then click the box next to the URL you want. For instance, click a box under the "HTML for websites & blogs" heading to publish the image on the Web page you prefer. Optionally, click the question mark next to each offering to understand the purpose of each code. Click the "Save" button to make your selection and continue.

    • 5

Click the data that appears in the "HTML code" text field and simultaneously press the "Ctrl" and "C" buttons on your keyboard to copy it. Access the Web page you want to publish the image to and paste the URL code by pressing the "Ctrl" and "V" buttons at the same time. Save your work to display your photo.
