How to Get Your Wedding Picture in Jet Magazine

Your love story could appear in Jet Love online or in hard copy format.

JET is a magazine publication available online and in print format that caters primarily to African-American readers. JET magazine publishes articles on a variety of topics, including politics, entertainment, culture, fashion and more, as they pertain to African-American individuals. One magazine segment,"Jet Love," previously known as "Love and Happiness" publishes inspiring wedding, engagement and anniversary stories and photos. If you would like to share your wedding journey with the world, submitting your story and photos to JET magazine for publication is easy.

Instructions

1. Confirm your eligibility to submit your story and wedding photos to JET Love. You must be at least 18 years old and a legal U.S. resident of the 50 contiguous states, including the District of Columbia. Submissions will not be accepted by individuals under 18 years of age. If you reside in an area where the age of majority is over 18, you must obtain your parent or legal guardian's consent. For example, if you're 18 years old and you reside in a state where 19 is considered the age of majority, you must get your parent or guardian's consent.

2. Access JET Love's official web page. Locate and click the link next to the "Newlyweds" heading.

3. Review the submission guidelines and complete the electronic submission form. Enter your full name, date of birth and email address into the appropriate fields. In 50 words or less, describe your love story in the "Submission Comment" box. Include the bride and groom's full names, how you met, a memorable wedding moment, the place of the wedding and honeymoon, and your future home location.

4. Upload up to five high resolution wedding photos. You must include at least one close-up, facial shot. Click the "Browse" button to locate your photos. Select the image of your choice and click "Upload."

5. Review the "Terms of Use," "Release" agreement and "Johnson Publishing Company Inc.'s "Privacy Act," by clicking each link. Click the check mark box to confirm your agreement with each document and click "Submit." A JET magazine representative will notify you if your story is selected for publication.

Tips & Warnings

• Photos can only be submitted by the bride and groom.
