How to Clean the Inside of a Louis Vuitton Bag

Louis Vuitton bags are considered high fashion and fairly expensive, which makes it important to properly clean them in a way that keeps them looking like new without risk of damage or deterioration of the lining. Much of the buildup develops on the inside of the bag where crumbs, makeup and other elements can collect. But the lining of a Louis Vuitton bag is easy to clean using items you probably already have at home.

Step 1

Remove all contents from the bag, including zipper pockets.

Step 2

Turn the bag upside down over a trash can and shake gently to get rid of loose residue.

Step 3

Wipe down the interior of the bag with unscented baby wipes to remove most of the buildup.

Step 4

Drizzle a few drops of mild laundry detergent over a damp rag and wipe away any heavier buildup. Rinse and wring out the rag, then wipe over the inside of the bag to remove any leftover soap.

Step 5

Mist a light coat of hairspray over any ink stains and blot with the damp rag.
