How Do I Change the Name on My 2Wire?
The 2Wire network's name is the default name assigned to the network during the setup process for easy identification when connecting to the Internet. By default, the network name is 2Wire and the last three numbers in the serial ID number on the gateway. While your network is easy to locate in the available networks list, it can be a nuisance if there are several 2Wire networks in the same area. The Home Portal for your 2Wire gateway allows you to customize the name of the network, which automatically applies the change to the network's name to stand out from the other 2Wire networks.
