Winamp is a media player capable of sorting and playing your music library. Winamp offers playback support for a wide variety of audio codecs, making it an ideal application for organizing large music libraries containing multiple audio file types. In addition to its playback features, Winamp allows you to create playlists, burn music to CDs, and customize the interface with themes and enhancement plug-ins.

Instructions

      Start Winamp. Insert a blank CD into your CD burner.

      Press the Alt and L keys to display the Media Library window. Alternately, you can select "Media Library" from the "View" menu to display the window.

      Select a playlist from the navigation menu on the left side of the Media Library window. The Media Library window will display all tracks contained in the playlist.

      Click the "Burn" button to send the playlist to the CD Burner Window. The Media Library window will change to the CD Burner Window.

      Click the "Burn" button to open the "Burning Options" dialog. Select a "Burn Speed" from the drop-down menu and check the "Enable Burn-Proof Mode" to verify that the burning was successfully completed. Click the "Burn" button to start the burning process.

Tips & Warnings

  • If you are using the free version of Winamp, you will only be able to burn your CD at "2x" speed.

  • If your playlist is too large to fit onto a single CD, you will need to remove songs from the list, or burn the playlist onto multiple CDs. Click on a song and press the Del key to remove it from a playlist.
