How to Search Twitter Feeds

Use Twitter Search to help grow your new retail business.

Although Twitter started as a micro-blogging website, it has also become well-known for breaking news stories as they occur. If you want to find information about a particular event, you can use Twitter's search feature to find related Tweets. You might also want to use Twitter's search to help promote your business on Twitter. By finding tweets related to your business's industry, you can engage other people on Twitter and attract them to your Twitter account.

Instructions

1. Navigate to http://search.twitter.com.

2. Enter the text you want to search for.

3. Click the Search button. If you are familiar with search operators, you can type those directly into the search box in addition to the key words you are searching for. See Resources for a complete list of Twitter Search operators.

Tips & Warnings

• You can use Twitter's Advanced Search feature to narrow your search results by location, person, date and other options.
