How to Dispose of Used Pallets in Ontario

Ontario businesses with wooden pallets have a range of recycling options that get pallets off-site, reduce clutter and keep wood out of landfills. Highly recyclable and in demand for shipping and manufacturing, pallets can be heat treated and refurbished and then put back to use. Choose the best option near your community, then dispose of used pallets by recycling.

Instructions

1. Give the pallets to Ranger Enterprises, located near Ottowa, Ontario (no website; 613-836-7263; 130 Walgreen Rd RR3, Carp, ON). Call to arrange a drop-off.

2. List your pallets for purchase or for free at the Recycler's World Ontario Wooden Pallet Recycling Network. Write a listing that describes the quantity and quality of your pallets and give your email address. When you hear from someone interested in purchasing or taking the pallets from you, arrange a drop-off to recycle through reuse.

3. Call Ontario Pallet Recycling (no website; 519-285-5837; 662990 Rd 66 RR 3, Ingersoll, ON), a pallet recycler who also removes and refurbishes pallets.

4. Arrange a pallet pickup with Eastern Ontario Pallets, another pallet recycler located in Metcalfe, near Ottowa, ON. Complete the online inquiry form or call to learn more about their recycling option.
