How to Draw a Picture of an Airplane

Draw a circle in the center of the paper. This will be the fuselage.

Draw two lines extending from each side of the fuselage. The upper pair of lines are the tail wings, and they should be half the length of the bottom pair, which are the main wings. Draw the line pairs so that they are parallel to one another and angled slightly upward.

Add slanted lines above and below the wing outlines drawn in the previous step. These will give the wings some body.

Draw a narrow triangle extending upward from the circular fuselage. This will be the airplane's fin.

Draw two circular engines below each of the two wings.

Add detail to the wings and engines, using your reference picture as a guide.

Draw the plane's landing gear beneath the fuselage. Use the reference picture to help you position the landing gear, but you can simplify the design by drawing each set of gear using geometric shapes: two ovals connected by a square.
