Determine how well your website loads in older Internet Explorer versions.

Typically, every version of Internet Explorer overwrites the previous version when installed. However, if you are running Windows Vista, you can download a Tredosoft program that allows you to use all versions of Internet Explorer from the original to Internet Explorer 7. Though most people do not need multiple versions of Internet Explorers, web designers and developers benefit from multiple versions because it allows them to determine if their website renders in every common version on Internet Explorer.

Instructions

    • 1

Visit Tredosoft.com and click on the "Products" link. Click on the line that reads "Multiple IE Installer" and then click on the download link. Follow the installation prompt to properly install the program.

    • 2

Download and install WinRar from the product's official website.

    • 3

Visit Microsoft's Internet Explorer 7 download's page and click on the "Download" button.

    • 4

Locate the Internet Explorer program file in the downloads folder. Open WinRar in another window by clicking on the Start button, selecting "All Programs" then selecting "WinRar." Drag and drop the Internet Explorer program file into the WinRar window.

    • 5

Click on the "Extract" button. Locate the line that reads "IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe" and click on it. Click on the "Extract To" button and select the icon of the Desktop. Press "Ok."
