How to Make Audio Play on Specific Slide in Keynote thumbnail
You can set an audio file to play on one slide in Keynote.

When you work on a slide show presentation with Keynote on your Mac, you might realize that one slide would benefit by having audio play while it is displayed. For example, in a presentation about a zoo to a group of tour guides, you might want elephant vocalizations to play while you display an image of the elephant exhibit. You can easily make an audio file play on a specific slide in Keynote.

Instructions

    • 1

Click "Keynote" from the Dock on your Mac to launch the application.

    • 2

Click "File" from the Keynote menu. Click "Open," and then click the folder that has your Keynote presentation file. Click the file to select it, and then click "Open."

    • 3

Click the slide that you want to make audio play on.

    • 4

Drag an audio file from a folder on your Mac onto the slide in the Keynote application window. Or, click "Media" in the Keynote toolbar, then click the "Audio" tab, then click the "Music" category under iTunes if you want to use an audio file from your iTunes library. Drag an audio file onto the slide. The sound file appears as an icon in the slide.

Click the "Play" button in the toolbar to play the slide show presentation. Click anywhere on the screen to advance to the next slide. When the slide appears that contains the audio file, the sound will play. The sound stops when you click the screen again and advance to the next slide.
