How to: Makeup for Teenagers
Teen girls can spend an inordinate amount of time focusing on their appearance. As the teenage years are a time of transition, this means that girls are trying to establish their personal style. The foray into the world of cosmetics can be a difficult one. Without direction or guidance, teen girls can end up looking clownish. Things You'll Need
- Powder foundation
- Tinted moisturizer
- Eyeshadow
- Eyeshadow brush
- Stick blush
- Eyelash curler
- Mascara
- Lip balm
- Lip gloss

Apply a sheer powder foundation or tinted moisturizer to the skin. Use your fingers to apply it. There is no need to wear heavy foundation as a teenager, as it can look heavy. Choose powder foundation if your skin is on the oily side. Choose tinted moisturizer if your skin is dry.

Brush on neutral eyeshadow colors. Using an eyeshadow brush, apply a neutral shade, such as cream or beige, all over the eyelids and up to the brow bone. Apply a slightly darker color, such as a soft brown, in the crease and blend well. Trendy, metallic eyeshadow works as a crease color, as well.

Curl your eyelashes. This makes a huge impact on your looks. Sweep two coats of black or dark brown mascara. Do two swipes on the underside of the lashes and two swipes on the upper side of the lashes.

Dab on a peach or pink blush using a stick blush. Stick blushes are perfect for teens as they are easy to use and glide on smoothly. The colors are light and easy to wear. Dot it on the apples of the cheeks. Use your fingers to blend it toward the hairline.

Put lip balm on your lips. This preps the lips and eliminates flakes. Apply a shiny pink or coral lip gloss on the lips.

Carry lip gloss and lip balm in your purse or backpack during the day as it wears off easily.
