How to Reset the Password on a 2Wire 1000 DSL Modem
The 2Wire 1000 DSL modem password is your gateway to the modem's system configuration and user interface page. Without this password, you cannot access the configuration page or update any of your modem's important settings. The first fail safe before attempting a reset is to enter the hint you created when setting up your original password. However, if you've also forgotten your password hint, then you need to look on the bottom of your modem for a 10-digit key, and input this key on the appropriate password reset page before confirming a new password.
