How to Repair Utility Vista Ultimate
The repair utility for Windows Vista is called "Startup Repair" which can be used when your Vista Ultimate experiences problems. When Vista crashes or is not running properly you can diagnose any problems with this utility. You will require the installation disc for your system to run the Startup Repair utility. The Startup Repair utility is accessed by booting into the Windows Recovery Console.

Insert the installation disc for Windows Vista into the CD/DVD drive and restart the computer.

Press the "Enter" key or any other key on the keyboard when prompted to boot from the disc. Wait for the disc to be read by your system and an "Install Windows" screen will appear.

Select "English" from the "Language to Install" drop down selection box. Click the "Next" button to continue.

Click the option at the bottom of the window for "Repair your computer." This will open the "System Recovery Options" window.

Select the "Microsoft Windows Vista" and click the "Next" button. Click the "Startup Repair" option to diagnose and repair your system.
