How to Remove Purple Fringe in Photoshop
Using graphics editing programs such as Adobe Photoshop, aspiring photographers are able to enhance the quality of their pictures or even change the reality of their photos with filters and other effects. Many people use Photoshop to adjust the colors in a photograph. This technique allows you to colorize a photo, or even to remove colors from a picture. If you have a picture with someone who has a purple fringe that you would like to alter, you will need to understand how to use the lasso selection tool and the colorization feature.

1
Open the photograph in Photoshop by selecting "File" then "Open." It will automatically open as the background layer.
-
2
Select the lasso tool from the sidebar on the left hand side of the screen---it is the tool that looks like a lasso rope. Use this tool to select the fringe that you want to alter. Click on the screen and select the entire fringe.
-
-
3
Feather the selection by choosing "Selection" and then "Modify" followed by "Feather." Input a very low number such as 1 or 2 and then select "OK" to apply the feather to your current selection.
-
4
Open the colorization window by selecting "Image" followed by "Adjustments" and then "Hue/Saturation" to open a new window.
-
5
Move the slider underneath the "Hue" bar to change the color of the fringe. You will be able to see the changes on the image behind the window. Use the "Saturation" bar to adjust how intense the color should appear on the photograph.
-
6
Select "OK" when you have colorized the image and then click on the image to remove the selection.
