How to Clean a Dell Laptop 1525

The Inspiron 1525 is a laptop manufactured by Dell in 2008. The laptop comes standard with a 15.4 inch monitor. In 2008, it started at $499 for the most basic configuration. The 1525 is Dell's attempt to rectify complaints with the previous model, the Inspiron 1520, such as bulk and weight. As with all computers, during regular use the Inspiron 1525 becomes dirty. Dust builds up on the plastic and fingerprints build up on the display.

    • 4

Mix three parts water with one part dish detergent in a small bowl or bucket. Dampen the cloth with this solution.

    • 5

Wipe the keyboard again with the cloth. Wipe the plastic around the display and the rest of the computer's case with the cloth.

    • 6

Turn the laptop on. Open the disc drive. Clean any dust from the tray and the laser with the compressed air.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be careful to only dampen the cloth. Water leaking from a soaked cloth into your laptop can damage the components.
