How to Find a Job Using Uncommon Search Tactics
When you are in the job market, you might find that you have exhausted all of the conventional job search tactics rather quickly. 1
Start tweeting. A Twitter account is just one way to show off how much you know about your industry. Sharing helpful information and gaining followers can be impressive to employers. Update the account daily.
-
2
Showcase your writing skills and industry knowledge by starting a blog. Update it at least a few times per week with well written articles about your field of knowledge.
-
-
3
Add all your links to the bottom of your resume. Then employers can check out your Twitter account and blog.
-
4
Create a video resume. This works well in creative fields, especially those in marketing, advertising, video production, or writing. In the video resume, talk about your skills and experience as if you're answering common interview questions. Present yourself well. Wear your finest clothes, smile, and articulate. Making a good impression could land you an in-person interview.
