Numbers is the latest program added to the iWork suite.

Numbers is Apple's spreadsheet application in the iWork suite of productivity programs, which also includes Keynote and Pages. Unlike Excel, Numbers allows you to build spreadsheets on a freeform canvas, void of rows and grids. This layout provides greater flexibility for tables, charts, text and graphics on the page. Most Numbers templates create documents in a horizontal (or landscape) orientation, and although there is no page setup function, you can easily change the print layout to a vertical (or portrait) orientation if necessary.

Instructions

    • 1

Open the Numbers document for which you want to change the print layout.

    • 2

Click "View" in the upper-left corner of the menu bar. Scroll to "Show Print View," which is the first option in the menu.

    • 3

Click the blue "Inspector" button at the top right of the toolbar. Click the "Sheet" inspector button, which is the second icon from the left, and then click the "Page Layout" button. Choose your preferred page orientation. Alternatively, click on a page orientation icon at the bottom left of the screen.
