"The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" is a fantasy role-playing game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC that allows users to take the role of an adventurer who is out to help restore the ruler of a kingdom to his rightful thrown. The game is unique for having both first-person and third-person views available, allowing players to switch in between views depending on what's easier at the time. When in third-person mode, you can even rotate the camera around your body, which is helpful for peeking around potentially dangerous corners.

For the PC

  • Enter the third-person viewpoint at any time during the game using the "R" key.

  • Hold the "R" key down.

  • Rotate the camera using the mouse while continuing to hold down "R." Move the mouse back and forth to rotate the camera, and forward and back to zoom in and out.

For the Xbox 360

  • Enter the third-person viewpoint at any time during the game by clicking down the right thumbstick.

  • Hold down the right thumbstick while in third-person mode.

  • Move the right thumbstick around while holding it down. This will rotate the camera back and forth. Press the right trigger ("RT") to zoom in and the left trigger ("LT") to zoom out.

For the PlayStation 3

  • Enter the third-person viewpoint at any point during the game by clicking the right thumbstick (sometimes referred to as "R3").

  • Hold down the right thumbstick while in third-person mode.

  • Move the thumbstick left or right while holding it down to rotate the camera around your character. Press "R2" to zoom in and "L2" to zoom out.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can move around while rotating the camera using the left thumbsticks on the console versions and the arrow keys with the PC version. This can allow you to see enemies chasing you from behind while running.
