Place berries in a shallow, breathable container and store on the counter for fresh-tasting berries with good texture. This method is best if you plan on eating the berries within a day or two.

Store berries in a covered container in the refrigerator to add a few more days to the lifespan of the berries. However, this may cause the berries to slightly lose the fresh taste of just-picked berries.

Wash berries and pat them dry right before use.

Arrange berries in a single layer on a baking sheet.

Do not pile too many berries on top of each other. This will cause berries on the bottom of the container to be crushed and lose their juices.
